OHCA recommends funding care, not disciplines

The Ontario Home Care Association's submission to proposed regulations increasing nursing services maximums, supported APACTS' comments on the importance of integrated care delivery.  OHCA stated that "When one discipline is singled out for funding, the impact on clinical outcomes and innovation is potentially compromised."

 

Guide to Timely and Effective Use of Therapy Services in Homecare

APACTS has released an updated version of the reference guide to help homecare providers use therapy professionals to improve client outcomes through team-based care.  Download your copy of the guide here.

APACTS responds to Proposed Regulation Changes

APACTS provided input to the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care on the proposed changes to licensing of community support agencies.  While APACTS is supportive of changes to help Ontarians access home support services, the need for therapy and rehabilitation to decrease the need for support services must not be overlooked.  Read our response here.

CPAC Newsletter

APACTS continues to be actively represented on the Community Providers Associations Committee of the OACCAC.  CPAC has developed a newsletter outlining their recent activities to support high quality service for homecare clients in Ontario.   Read more .
